Shield

How does my shield work?

With a valid Sentinel entitlement, you can choose a local time for a daily six-hour protection window. The shield protects your Outposts during that window. You cannot start any new order: attack, spying, movement, or rally, even between your own cities. The game shows when protection starts and ends.

You can turn protection off at any time. It stops immediately and that day's window is over: you cannot reopen it, even after reconnecting. The schedule stays in place for later days. Once you choose a time, you can change it but cannot remove the schedule.

Does the shield stay active if Sentinel expires?

No. It stops protecting you as soon as your Sentinel entitlement expires, even during a window. Renewing before expiry keeps protection active. If you renew less than ten minutes after expiry, it resumes automatically for the rest of the window; the gap without entitlement is never protected. After ten minutes, you can manually rejoin the remaining window if you did not turn it off yourself. Check the displayed status before relying on its protection.

Your Capital can never be attacked, with or without a shield.
